Breakout Sessions
-
Sharing the gospel with friends can be both scary and challenging. In this 215-style breakout, we’ll center on Him we proclaim and how God’s power—not our own—enables us to share the gospel with love and boldness.
Meeting in conference room 2 (Joseph)
-
Jesus commands in the Great Commission to “make disciples… teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you.” This breakout will explore biblical principles and best practices for wisely teaching others in interpersonal discipleship and small group bible study contexts, all for the goal of “present(ing) everyone mature in Christ” (Colossians 1:28b). Have you found it difficult to follow Jesus’s command to teach your disciples or friends to follow God’s Word? Don’t worry, this breakout will teach you how.
Meeting in the dining hall (Christian)
-
The world has numerous definitions on “maturity” and what a “mature person” looks like. But what does the Bible say about spiritual maturity and how is God transforming us daily into the image of His Son?
Meeting in conference room 1 (Tim)
-
John 16:33 says that we will have suffering in this world, but the Lord has already overcome! What should our response to suffering and hardship be? This breakout will focus on how to suffer and endure hardship well while being rooted and reliant on Christ and His strength!
Meeting in the chapel (Hannah)
-
Paul writes a lot about working hard. The last part of Colossians 1:28-29 talks about “struggling” according to Christ’s “energy, which he works in power within me.” What does this mean? We all know that we’re supposed to look to God for strength, but when we’re tired or burnt out, what does that actually look like? In this breakout, we’ll explore a few stories from Jesus’ ministry which illustrate this, and learn how we, in our own context, can work according to Christ’s energy which he works in power within us.
Meeting in the game room (Alex)
