Introduction
In Jesus’ last week, he frequently explains the significance of his death in the midst of mounting tension with the religious officials. In all 3 synoptic Gospels, these events are almost written verbatim. These sayings, symbolic actions, and parables often concern Jesus’ coming kingdom and judgment of the world.
