Breakout Sessions
-
For both ourselves and those around us, how we worship God matters. People hold many different ideas about what makes up “good worship,” but what kind of worship pleases God? This breakout will examine how both our hearts and our words are important in our praise. Everyone is invited to join but this breakout may be especially beneficial for those interested in leading worship!
-
David calls followers of Yahweh to a life that pursues peace. In our broken world, peace may be defined differently than what David is talking about. Come and discuss the way in which God provides peace and we seek out peace in a culture of division.
-
Those who look to him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed.” Let’s look at what it means to walk unashamed when with the Lord, and how to vocalize this truth with people around us!
-
Psalm 34 uses the word “fear” five separate times; four of those are referencing “the fear of the Lord.” The fear of the Lord is a very prevalent theme throughout the Bible, but very often misunderstood, and even more-often ignored. What does it mean to fear God? Is that really a good thing? Is that a concept only for the Old Testament, before we knew more about Jesus? We’ll discuss these questions and more in this breakout session.
-
Psalm 34:22 reminds us that those who take refuge in the Lord will not be condemned. This passage points us to the hope, protection, and the freedom God offers to all who trust in Him.
