Romans 5 speaks a lot about “reconciliation” with the Lord. What does this mean? What does reconciliation look like in our life, and how should it impact our relationships with others?
-
The theme of this Fall Retreat is “belonging”--but who should we belong to, and why? In this breakout, let's take a look at what Scripture says about the differences between belonging to the Lord and belonging to the world, and how good it is to be one of Christ’s people.
-
Romans 5 (verses 3-5) gives a chain process of how reconciliation and belonging change suffering to be things that the Lord uses for good. This breakout will dive into these verses specifically and discuss how God can use the suffering in our lives for good.
-
Throughout Romans, Paul describes the Christian as both “justified” (declared right before God) and a “sinner” (deserving God’s condemnation). How can these both be true? There are several different views, but this is one of the most fundamental parts of the gospel. In this breakout, we will discuss in-depth what is maybe the most important doctrine to the gospel--the doctrine of justification.
-
In this breakout session, we’ll uncover the core essentials of the gospel found in Romans 5 and learn practical ways to share this life-changing message with others.
